Milk Tea Boba At Home

Updated: May 12, 2020

Up until a couple of months ago, I didn't really get the hype about bob... I wasn't here for that gummy consistency. But something has changed (I'm not quite sure what or how) and recently, during this time stuck at home, I have been craving boba! Not only is it. refreshing, sweet drink, but the slimy balls are an extra treat at the end (not to mention the challenge of stabbing the boba and actually getting the balls up the straw). It's a 2 in 1, we love that.

Here's how to make you own boba at home! Lesss get into ittttt....

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp of creamer

  • 2 tbsp of honey

  • 2 bags of black tea (I use english breakfast tea)

  • ¼ cup of milk

  • sweeter (honey, agave, brown/white sugar)

Boba

  1. Boil about 10 cups of water

  2. Add 1 cup of tapioca pearls

  3. Wait for pearls to float up top

  4. Once at the surface, cover with lid for 3 minutes (depending on how soft you want your boba to be)

  5. Drain boba

  6. Stir in honey for a sweat coating

  7. Pour boba into bottom of cup

Tea *sis*

  1. Boil 2 cups water for tea

  2. Stir both tea bags for 2-3 minutes (depending on how strong you want your tea to be)

  3. Stir creamer into warm water

  4. Let sweetener dissolve into warm tea

  5. Add Ice

  6. Pour on top of boba in glass and you're done!

Ahhh I can already imagine the taste of your delicious milk tea boba!

You got this,

Sophia
